Re: tattoos
That's gorgeous Inez, I like that first one of yours Steve, tribal tattoos look great.
I've designed one that I want doing when I get round to it, or something similar, will need to speak to someone, it's daisies, to go on the top of my foot

sorry Steve, you said "not having one isn't an option" and I don't have one and never, ever would. That's why I'm dipping out!Steve wrote:why? i'm not saying you got to have an tatttoo if you had to have one what would you haveLynda wrote:Dipping out of this one!

juat search and find one you would have but that doesn't mean you have to have one this topic what you would have if you was made to have oneLynda wrote:sorry Steve, you said "not having one isn't an option" and I don't have one and never, ever would. Re: tattoos
If I had to get one, it would be a small bird silhouette on the inside of my right wrist, which would represent something that happened and had a huge impact on my life.

Re: tattoos
Oh you're such a Taskmaster Steve! OK, if I "was made to have one" - and it would have to be at gunpoint - I would have a pixel, a dot . on the sole of my foot where I or no-one else would ever have to see it!Steve wrote:juat search and find one you would have but that doesn't mean you have to have one this topic what you would have if you was made to have oneLynda wrote:sorry Steve, you said "not having one isn't an option" and I don't have one and never, ever would. That's a good way to look at it Eleanor, mine I have now is poignant to a certain time in my life also.Eleanor wrote:If I had to get one, it would be a small bird silhouette on the inside of my right wrist, which would represent something that happened and had a huge impact on my life.

If it's going to be etched permanently onto your body, it might as well have meaning, IMO!Inezmaria70 wrote:That's a good way to look at it Eleanor, mine I have now is poignant to a certain time in my life also.Eleanor wrote:If I had to get one, it would be a small bird silhouette on the inside of my right wrist, which would represent something that happened and had a huge impact on my life.

Re: tattoos
The whole pic is nice, but I wouldn't want a big or obvious tattoo. It just isn't me. That's why I'd go for a small, discreet one on the inside of my wrist.

Re: tattoos
Hayley, yeah, I was going to use that pic, but for some reason it just didn't seem right. Wrong position or size maybe? I dunno.
I don't have a problem with what other people get tattooed on them, but I wouldn't get the 'Shhh' tattoo done on me. It would hold no meaning for me.

I think my OH would have shhh tattoo'd on me in the hope it may shut me up for 5 mins but jokes aside it's pointless IMO

Re: tattoos
I overthink things a lot anyway, but where tattoos are concerned, I think it's a good thing. If it has a real meaning to it, there's less of a chance that I'll regret it later on in life. The tattoo I would choose would serve as a reminder to me that, even when things feel like they're never going to get better, there'll still be light at the end of the tunnel if I keep on going.

Re: tattoos
Totally agree Eleanor, I never got mine til quite late in life and knew what I wanted and why. So will never have any regrets of what I had done

Re: tattoos
I had mine done when I was 19 but it's so small and inoffensive I've never regretted it! If anything would like to have it extended somehow, again something else I'll get round to eventuallyInezmaria70 wrote:Totally agree Eleanor, I never got mine til quite late in life and knew what I wanted and why. Re: tattoos
I think it depends on the person, really. I definitely wouldn't condemn anybody for getting a tattoo because they just like the look of it. If that's what they're comfortable with, good for them!
One thing I can't abide seeing is offensive tattooing though, just for shock value.
