Prince - small male SBT (cross?), neutered, mega-waggy tail
Happy-go-lucky Prince is in the care of Animal Helpline http://www.homes4dogs.co.uk/ (contact details on link) near Peterborough/Stamford, Cambridgeshire.
This little chap came into the rescue two months ago and has shared his kennel space with a multitude of doggy mates who, one by one, have found their loving forever home while he waits patiently.
He's a firm favourite with volunteer walkers as he's an easy walk - likes to trot to the end of his extendible lead, then trot back to his handler, then trot forwards again. And repeat. Very little pulling.
Prince is now on short-term foster with me and was collected this afternoon after a very easy introduction with my own dog, Wingo.
Prince is comfortable in a travel crate - there wasn't a sound out of him all the way home.
Once back at mine, I put a fresh collar and lead on him and took him and Wingo up to the local park and woods.
Prince loved the woods and had a reasonably good recall when whistled for.
Out in the park, he met my mates with a GSD and a husky - Prince was fine with both, but more interested in the treats in the handlers' pockets.
He'd been in my care less than an hour and was already doing rolly polly for tummy tickles and treats with the husky's owner.
Lots of little face licks dished out, plenty of sits on command, and a big-tongued smiley happy face with all the fuss and attention he was getting (and treats.)
He then had a good run round with the GSD. Now, I thought he was an older dog going by his rescue picture (middle pic below) but he can fly like the wind with legs all a-blur.
We walked home in the dark and Prince showed there's nothing wrong with his eyesight - he spotted a couple of cats, long before I did, which he was interested in sniffing at.
We then drove to my second home - McDonalds - with Prince sitting in the hatchback perfectly with Wingo. No travel crate required any more.
Back home for house introductions (a quick once round and no wees) small tea of bits of hamburger (naughty, I know), and Latham's dog food, with a bit of wet tinned thrown in too for good measure.
Prince is not a fast eater. He was doing his best to vacuum it all up, but he's only little (smaller than the average SBT in height and bone structure).
He then had a choice of beds - the big playpen crate, the "Alcatraz" crate, or the sofa. He chose Alcatraz immediately - he seems exceptionally comfortable with a smaller crate - and is currently in there snoozing, although the rustle of the apple pie bag from McDonalds quickly brought him back out.
Wingo seems very happy with him and was giving him licks and washing his face earlier on. They seem a respectful pair with good "chemistry".
A lovely little chap so far. If I go near his crate, his tail wags at a billion miles an hour. Very very calm so far and respectful.

Thanks folks.
He's more the colour of the home pics than the grey rescue pic, by the way.

Prince has been here just over a week and is now called "Weemsy" - my shorthand for Weeman, as he's so small.
This is one affectionate boy - waggy tail, happy little face, dishing out the hand licks constantly.
He loves following me around and does a great sit (a very emphatic one) for treats. He can also muster a good paw.
Weemsy LOVES playing ball - he really comes alive with a tennis ball, rubber ball or football, and gets a good amount of ball time most days.
He's been great with my own dog, Wingo - he eats his treats quickly but doesn't seem to have any inclination whatsoever to try to nose in on hers.
They go everywhere together and can be found in the morning hiding together under the doggy duvet in the lounge. I'm usually greeted by two wet noses just poking out from under the duvet.
Where one goes, the other follows - be that sofa, duvet, or out to sunbathe. They sniff the same things on walks in the woods and are getting on just brilliantly.
Weemsy is being very sociable to well-mannered dogs but is a bit scared of big dogs with a forward, dominant attitude. Part of that, I guess, is because he's so little.

Nearly four months on and only one phone call, which came to nothing.
Captain Weemo, as he is now known, has been perfect in that time and has got on so well with my dog, Wingo, that I've decided to keep him.
Two foster failures in the space of 10 months. Lol.
Can mods move the little chap to rehomed please.
Thanks.

Another one due in shortly.
Should be fun.
I'll end up like one of those old mad people with 200 dogs and a house full of poo.
