how to grt rid of the smell
Hi all
Skye sleeps in my kitchen and on the odd occasion she would wee on the floor. Problem is it ran along the grout lines in my tiles and inder the cupboards. Now everytime I open the cupboard I am greeted with an awful smell. I have removed the kickboards and cleaned underneath several times but I think it has soaked into the bit of the floor inder the cupboard which isnt tiled. Any advice on how to get rid of the smell. I have tried all sorts and currently have covered the area with washing powder in the hope of masking it.

I'm not sure, what have you used? Can you get anything stronger?

Re: how to grt rid of the smell
You could try looking online to buy a black light. When you shine it on a surface, it allows you to see urine stains so that you can specifically target the area that has the worst smell (if you do this, turn off the lights and draw the curtains if possible so that it shows up better). The stains should show up white. Once you have that, it might be a good idea to use an enzymatic cleaner - they're quite easy to find.
You can also use white vinegar to clean old stains, but be careful with this as the strong smell could actually encourage your dog to urinate there.
If you use the enzymatic cleaner, you might want to test it first to make sure it doesn't discolour your floor.
Hope this helps!

Vinegar works well in the interim, however the spray below will work better in the long term :)I have used it on tiles, carpets and floor boards with success.

I should add that I did do patch tests on my floors before I sprayed it all over the area to be cleaned
