Belle and Daisy not really eating?!
Hi I remember a while ago posting that Belle really wasn't taking much interest in her food and that we had changed her over to JWB junior and was adding sardines!
For a while she was fine but is now again being really picky with her food?!
It's also the same with Daisy she isn't eating all her meals and as she is only 10 weeks old its a worry!! Daisy has JWB puppy with a little bit of sardines and wolfed it down to start with but now not soo much?!
I'm thinking of going back to Hills with them both as Belle would eat all of that no problem as a pup.
Any advise would be gratefully received.
Thanks Karen, Belle and Daisy xxx

Aww they are a worry aren't they I know they can get fed up with a food but both of them at the same time is a little worrying! But they could just be being fussy I'd give your vet a call before your make anymore changes and ask his advice or pop them along for a check up

Re: Belle and Daisy not really eating?!
To be honest I think they are just being fussy because they will eat the other ones food but not their own!! I'm thinking I might just put Belles in Daisy's bowl and Daisy's in Belles bowl and see what they do then.
They seem fine in themselves and are playing and running around like lunatics as per usual just not eating all their food?! X

How long have they not eaten for? if its just the once, I wouldn't worry but if its been a few days id give your vet a ring maybe for a check up just to make sure everything is alright

Re: Belle and Daisy not really eating?!
They are eating just not all of there food at each meal, I'm wondering if the weather is effecting them because its been quite warm again?! They are completely the same at play time running, chasing each other and really happy so it's just really that they are not eating the amounts the packaging says they should be xxx

Do you feed them both at the same time or at different times, maybe give that a go and see what happens.

Re: Belle and Daisy not really eating?!
Did you switch the food straight over or do it gradually? Changing a dog's diet too suddenly can upset their stomach, which might make them lose their appetites a little. The change might also have put them off, as they're used to a different food.

Re: Belle and Daisy not really eating?!
No I changed Daisy over gradually over a week as she was on a pet shop own brand and we don't have that pet shop in Bristol! The breeder gave me enough to change over gradually and Belle has been on this food for a few months now x

Re: Belle and Daisy not really eating?!
I hope you get over this problem,i know how frustrating it is when your pup is fussy, you would think and esp these dogs that they would just eat anything put in front of them but they can be a very fussy breed.
Maybe try some beef mince cooked and then water blended up to make like a soup then pour it over the dinner, wait for a responce to this as im not 100% sure you would be allowed but im guessing you would be. its something i would like to try anyway if i do go back to dry food

Re: Belle and Daisy not really eating?!
I give Daisy cooked lamb mince with her kibble once or twice a week, she loves it Once cooked I do add a little water to make a little gravy to coat the kibble. I also use the JWB wet pouches as a topper and tinned fish (sardines, salmon and mackerel) and eggs.

Re: Belle and Daisy not really eating?!
Hi I had the same problem with sasha s few weeks ago I was feeding her wainwrites. Wasn't eating even with sardines gravy etv mixed in. I took her to the vet for a health check just to be sure and the vet told me it was the food that maybe too bland for her she recommended royal canin pediatric junior a complete food for sensitive tummies and sasha loves it and has eaten every meal since. As its both dogs maybe they dont find the food tasty enough

Re: Belle and Daisy not really eating?!
Yeah we've mixed things in with it, sardines, wet food softened it with warm water and they're both not keen so I'm going to change them over gradually to another make.
I would prefer to keep them on dried kibble so any recommendations would be great xxx

Re: Belle and Daisy not really eating?!
Your welcome it worried me when sasha didn't eat I tried sardines egg gravy she would eat just a few mouthfuls anf then left it sounds like yours are doing the same. I know it was the food because I offered her some yesterday and she still turns her nose up at it. She was on wainwrites lamb and also tried turkey too the vet said it may be too bland for some dogs as it has no smell. She has put on 1.5kg since being on it nearly 2 weeks so it must be doing some good
