Belle had an op and now too lively!
Hi,
Belle our 6 month old has just been spayed on friday, when she came home as expected was not herself to the point I took her back to the vets for further painkillers, however today she is back to normal with avengeance and we cannot or maybe have not restricted her enough, what / how is other peoples experiences of this and how do i restrict her movement from damaging her stitching.

Mind games and lots of them. As a breed they are so eager to please - hide toys/treats....
Its easier said than done but you can do it Xx

Try to keep the jumping and climbing to a bare minimum, it's hard to do but for the best. Have you got a crate, that helps limit what they can do while healing.

All good advise above. Do you have a stag bar or kong to keep her busy with too?

Re: Belle had an op and now too lively!
Katy was spayed about 4 weeks ago, very quiet that night but the following day totally back to her normal self. She wanted her usual game of tug of war with her dad, we managed to not do it full strength for 2 weeks but it was hard. She healed really quickly according to the nurse. You know your pup well so you decide
