Re: Another 'Staffordshire' Attack
This really 100% F***s me off
Leyland's owners said they were responsible pet owners and claimed Miss Hutchinson had been teasing the dog ahead of the attack last Monday - but she denies this.
Miss Hutchinson said: 'I would not tease a dog which I had been told had become grumpy, I know what not to do to a dog, being a dog owner myself.'
Dog: The Staffordshire bull terrier's owners informed the police and the animal was destroyed (file picture)
What chance do we really have with Joe Public
And sorry to say this but this woman looks a 2 bricks short of a load scumbag and will no doubt be on Jeremy Kyle in the near future

Re: Another 'Staffordshire' Attack
another Staffy story, but bet you don't hear all the so called "dog attacks" in the papers about other breeds.
most dogs will only attack either out of self defence or because their territory has been breached. but then again Diesel is not like the said above as when ever anyone comes near the back gate all he wants to do is lick them to death.
I'm sick and tired of all this bullcrap about our breed being satans little death machines!

Re: Another 'Staffordshire' Attack
Judging by the collar , lead , the chair in the background it looks like the picture was actually taken at a show , I can produce pictures like that of both of mine with a fast enough shutter in the middle of play , slimy photographers

Re: Another 'Staffordshire' Attack
Comments are just as bad:
There are 'soppy' breeds like Retrievers and Labradors, and there are breeds that clamp on when they bite. Staffies are either 'ankle nippers' like The Queen's corgis or 'biters that hold on'. All 'clampers' should be muzzled. I can trust labs, wouldn't trust ANY Staffie unmuzzled. I used to do the Christmas post every year. Bitten only twice; bull terrier, and 'yes, a Staffie. I keep dogs, love dogs, and know what they were bred for. Staffies were bred to nip cattle ankles when herding, rabbiting and chasing foxes out to the hounds. It's in their DNA.
I will never understand what goes through these people's minds.

Re: Another 'Staffordshire' Attack
I totally agree, am sick of the pic of the Staffy sneezing at a show. If you look at his face you can see it isn't a snarl. The woman says she is the proud owner of JRTs, I've had more bother with them than any other breed!Dave wrote:This really 100% F***s me off

Re: Another 'Staffordshire' Attack
There are 'soppy' breeds like Retrievers and Labradors, correct me if I'm wrong but isn't a lab on the most aggressive list but as they are soft mouthed they dont do any harm and there are breeds that clamp on when they bite. Staffies are either 'ankle nippers' like The Queen's corgis or 'biters that hold on'. All 'clampers' should be muzzled. I can trust labs, wouldn't trust ANY Staffie unmuzzled. Half the people who comment on these articles are as stupid as the person involved. If they've got time to troll the Internet with their bull, I'm sure it's not so difficult for their stunted little brains to at least Google their facts first to make sure they don't make themselves look like Boris Johnson's pasty behind. Idiots.

Perhaps I should show that idiot a photograph of my face with a scar on it from a labrador bite, they infuriate me so much

Re: Another 'Staffordshire' Attack
My Staff's best friend is a Patterdale Terrier. Until last year, this Patterdale always wore a muzzle because he went for every dog he came across. I am very, very proud that my Staff wasn't fazed by the initial attack, made friends with Patt, and now the Patt has plucked up the courage to make friends with other dogs and no longer needs to wear a muzzle.
2 weeks ago the Patt was set upon by a Staffy. Yes it was wrong, it was very wrong, but no harm was done to either dog - it was a "scrap".
The story has gone around the local dog-walking community - have you heard, have you heard? Yes, I have heard it, many times, and so strangely enough has the Patt's owner! It was unfortunate that this "attack" was seen by several members of the local gossips.
Except for the fact that I don't want to make enemies and I'm hoping that in time these dogs will calm down and accept my Staff for the friendly, non-aggressive fellow that he is, I could also spread "have you heard, have you heard" stories about the 5 mongrels, 3 Labradors, Collie, GSD and god knows how many Jack Russells have had a go at my Staff, some of which have also been seen by the local gossips. Silence.
