uncooked bones are fine as they don't splinter , I am not a raw feeder but know many times that you can give chicken wings to a pup , you just have to hold them so they control their eating

Echo Daves advice above, if you go to your butcher and ask for some offcuts of bones, and ensure they are the appropriate size for your pup they should be fine, just monitor them just in case, and bones as long as uncooked are fine, including chicken bones! Smile

I hear you can cook them and blend them up to 'fine' so it doesnt cause splinters, is that another method? i would be interested in doing this

I haven't heard of this, so I couldn't say if it would be okay or not. But I'm sure someone will be along soon with more knowledge of it Smile

You'll be amazed what they can handle size-wise. They have terrifically strong jaws.

ANY raw bone apart from large weight baring bones i.e cow femurs are safe to eat

Chicken bones ARE fine to give dogs as long as they are raw.

My dogs as pups eat all the same bones as my adults dog!

My little one loves brisket bones. Takes him a while to whittle it down to nothing.

Didn't know about the weight bearing bones. Why are they not suitable??

I think it's because they're stronger and could cause damage to their teeth, but I'm sure Ella will be along soon to clear it up Smile

they are denser then your dogs teeth, and so alot of dogs crack or completely break multiple teeth on them!
