Re: Eating help
Try adding a little cooked, cooled chicken to the kibble and maybe some chopped carrot.

Re: Eating help
Pro Plan is not a particularly good food, I'm afraid. It has a lot of wheat and maize in it. It's also made by Purina who still use animals for experimentation.
As far as feeding goes, try splitting your dog's food into 3 meals a day, and add a couple of sardines in oil, or a raw egg to each meal. But make sure you thoroughly mix it up so he can't just pick out the tasty bits!

Re: Eating help
Sardines in oil, raw egg, a little meat juice etc well mixed in with the kibble are all good suggestions .... could you also perhaps try a different flavor kibble (salmon or beef for example)?

Re: Eating help
I would try a different kibble, make sure you change gradually over atleast 1- 2 weeks.

Re: Eating help
I agree, try changing his food. Dogs definitely have preferences for different flavours and what they like or dislike.

Re: Eating help
A lack or absence of appetite in dogs is known as anorexia and can be caused by a number of things. Considering the fact that it seems to be just this certain type of food he's leaving, I'd agree with the above comments about a diet adjustment.
Products heavy in wheat and maize, such as Pro Plan, are not at all healthy for your dog. These two ingredients are common allergens and may be responsible for your dog's lack of appetite.
The carrots won't do your dog any harm (they can be great treats for training), but they'll only act to fill his stomach, not provide key nutrients. This is because dogs are carnivorous and do not have rumens (the key to allowing herbivores to digest plant matter). They're just not built to utilise plant products properly. So for this reason, it is important to make sure your dog is eating meat. Meat should be the first ingredient you see on the ingredients list of dog food, as it means it's the highest quanitity ingredient.
If I were you, I'd try searching around for a better quality dog food (feel free to ask for help) and gradually change it over to see if his appetite changes.
