my good deed of the day
Yesterday I was in the garden, and I saw 2 dogs running passed to the garden, I realised it was the 2 scary dogs from down the street. They are big dogs, crossed with some sort of bull breed (if they were tested I wouldn't fancy their chances, if you know what I mean), anyhoo, they look really scary when we walk passed their garden, barking and carrying on.
So my hubby went down to tell the owner which way they had gone, he didn't even realise they had got out. He is a big guy with a really gruff voice, hate how he shouts at the dogs. So he came out and was shouting them and was wondering down the VERY busy main road that they had ran along, and after about half an hour I got in the car and picked him up as it looked like he wasn't getting anywhere, after about 2 mins we drove up a street and there they were.
He was saying how one of them, the big black one would have ripped a dog apart had he seen one, and someone could have stolen the other as she was still a pup. We pulled over to get them, and the way he shouted made both dogs cower right down to the ground, awful awful thing to see. I picked the young up and he got the big one and we put them in my car. He did say that he never hits them but does shout at them. Would they be soooooo scared from just shouting, im not so sure.
But at least we got them, they were very tired and thirsty but ok, and as far as I know no other dog was hurt.

Re: my good deed of the day
Yes he did thank me. I really do hope he didnt take it out on the dogs when they got back in the house.
I was saying things, like 'aw bless em, they look like they need a really big drink' and things like that to placate him.
The big dog obviously needs an owner that can control it, but not in a fearful way. It was heartbreaking seeing the dog cower like that.

Poor pooches. They were trying to escape the loud man! Hopefully he isn't telling a porky about how he treats them...
