Do your dogs groom each other?
Do your dogs groom each other?
Sort of following from my other thread.
For those with multiple dogs, or dogs with doggy friends do your dogs groom each other?
The boys do it constantly! and seem to enjoy the other doing it. It is definitely not confined to the head region and they will groom the other ALL over.
Harvey has a habit of when chance is finishing his bone from tea to lie next to him and lick the top of Chance's head while he's eating, but Chance lets him which is cute

Re: Do your dogs groom each other?
Voted yes. Lola overdoes it sometimes with Chloe by pinning her down when she's obviously had enough!

No, Dempsey hates it. Whenever he plays with another dog, if they start to lick his face, he cranes his head away as far as he can and scrunches up his eyes, looking all sulky.

Put sometimes but never really sure if Tommy is just cleaning Tilly up for the next bite

Re: Do your dogs groom each other?
Mine will groom each other but it's not licking it's more like nibbling away with there front teath going up and down. Both seem to like it as whoever is being groomed closes there eyes as though its feeling good.

Skibadee is sneaky she will start off grooming them and then she will start 'nibbling' and using her front teeth to pull out Tali or KaliMist's whiskers, its her favourite game she also does it with their eyelashes little bugger. When they get up to move she start licking them again and pretending shes being nice, then pulls out some more whiskers!

Only one way... Moll very rarely grooms Watson but when she's been swimming or out in the rain Watson always licks her!

Re: Do your dogs groom each other?
Maybe it is a guy dog thing more. My boys do it constantly and it is ALL over... some is ok, some is a bit more disturbing to watch. My kids sometimes ask, "do they think it feels good or tastes good?" This is usually followed by my eyes dilating and me informing my 6 yr old she is grounded for life... maybe even going to a convent.
