RSPCA Australia
The RSPCA Australia is such a wonderful organization that runs on donations.
There are puppies, dogs, cats, guinea pigs, ducks, rabbits, horses and many more.
Many different shelters running around Australia and you can find one near you!
Also there is a breed search so if you want a specific breed you can go search for one!
Get the purebred you want and also adopt it! What a bonus!

Re: RSPCA Australia
The RSPCA here not only tries to rescue as many dogs as they can from abuse but any dog that is surrendered they re-home them there too, also unwanted litters. Depending on the town, some shelters can be packed! But others may only have a few dogs in a month. The RSPCA in my town get A LOT of unwanted litters of puppies that are surrendered, luckily they all get adopted but makes it harder for the older dogs that need homes because they are competing with puppies.
As for every single dog/pup that is up for adoption, they have a vet check, all their needles so they are up-to-date, desexed, micro-chipped and sometimes evaluations for their personality if they need special care or rehabilitation. Some dogs/pups also come with doggie bags like free 3kg special dietary food and a 30days guarantee so if the dog doesn't suit your lifestyle can be returned back to the shelter and try another home.
