Thunderstorms Empty Thunderstorms

Post by debtom Tue Jul 23 2013, 06:52

My poor caley is petrified Sad she is shaking, panting and hiding behind settee, we have been up since 3am....it eased for a little while and she came on settee with me to doze, now the flaming storm is back with a vengeance I don't know what to do with her, the poor thing.

I am just walking around behaving normally like its no big deal, but she is not budging....my poor baby Sad

Aww poor Caley. Chloe and Lola are under the table, somewhat quiet! I'm glad I'm off work today Smile  I was planning a day at the beach with them but might have to have a re-think Rolling Eyes

Poor Caley, we had it in the night it was very close and a bit wild. I laid awake and watched it through the velux window in the roof, whilst listening out for Vin but thankfully not a peep from him, flat out!Big Grin

Poor thing. Well we were walking on the park at 6.45 this morning when it began, the thunder started, Lou stood dead still, ears went back, eyes wide looking at me as if to say 'what the fluff was THAT'...we got soaked. She wasnt too bad after the initial scare, she just carrried on as normal...

Ledger isn't too bad with thunder he cwtches up but doesn't seem to stress but then I love storms so there is no fear from me to pass on. Im not sure if it is meant to be getting worse through the day so have sprayed some adaptil about and will take it to my parents as he is staying there while I work tonight

Luckily for me, my own dog, Wingo, and my foster Buddy Bob weren't bothered.

Bob kipped all the way through it, apart from one or two raised ears.

Wingo sat on the window sill watching the lightning. Smile

For anyone who has dogs that are really scared - thundershirts are supposed to help 75% of dogs who try them. We've had people here who have used them to great effect!

We had a thunderstorn during the night, Rocky just barked a bit but we tried not to make a big deal of it and he was OK. He was on the bed with us.
