Re: my staffy limping
If its just something that has just come on I would completely limit all exersize for a few days, keep her of it.
My vet said a big thing to me that if they are limping they are in pain. which makes sense.
Loose the weight, how much do you need to go?
So many factors with a limp...... Xx

Re: my staffy limping
Like Janey says, maybe try rest for a few days but if that doesn't help definitely get her checked out at the vet

Re: my staffy limping
Hi, we had same problem with our dog, we thought it was his paw, he kept limping and took him to the vet and he identified that the pain was at top of leg and think prob caused by playing tug of war with another dog who was staying with us for the weekend! the other dog to be fair was 50kgs and our dog is 25kgs! anyway advice was to rest, and he prescribed pain killers for 5 days, then he was right as rain!! so either it could be something similar or like said above, the weight may not help, rest up and then if no better prob best to go to the vet.

Re: my staffy limping
Staffies do sometimes pull muscles and hurt a leg when they bounce around too much - it could just be that. As Janey said, give her light exercise for a couple of days to see if it improves. If not, a trip to the vet might help to find out what's causing it.
It does sound like she's pulled a muscle. When she's laying down, the muscle will probably stiffen up, causing the limp once she gets up again.
