Pottt Training.
Hi, my question is, I read in a few articles that Staffys have been known to be a bit difficult to housebreak. Now ive had dogs before, even bully breeds, but never a staffy. Are they as hard to housebreak as suggested or is this a fairly rare occurance as with most dogs? Any info. Would help thank you.

Re: Pottt Training.
Darcy was fully toilet trained at 12 weeks with only occasional accidents, Staffords are very intelligent but i took a month of work to potty train her, you get out what you put in, with time, patience and persistence they are very quick learners, but all puppies are different and some take longer than others. Hope this helps.

Hello and welcome to the forum
Like Hayley said; staffs are very quick learners so providing you work hard with your pooch then the quicker he/she will learn. Staffs dont have full control over their bladder until 6 months so accidents will happen! Just be patient

Hi and welcome to the forum from Rocky and me.
We got Rocky at 10 months old from a rescue centre and he has only ever once piddled on the mat near the back door, our fault for not seeing he needed to go out/get him outside soon enough.

I think Daisy was partially house trained when I got her from a rescue at 1-2 and we had a few accidents for the first few months but she was setlling in and learning a routine, she is fine now, no accidents since around Xmas time.

Hiya! Don't worry, a lot of staffies take a while to toilet train. You'll get there in the end. There's a page on the staffy website that might help you:

Re: Pottt Training.
It really is dog dependent and how much time you spend on it , my 2 were both pretty much fully sorted by 16 weeks ( to include night time accidents in their crates too ) but only a few "accidents from 12-13 weeks

Re: Pottt Training.
Hi from me and the boys
Everything i read before getting a staffy said they were easy to house train, and that is my experience. Harvey was house trained really in less then 2 weeks and he just got it very easily
