Does anyone have any views on a home cooked diet and can anyone recommend a good up to date book that I could buy if I decide to give this a go?

Thanks. You reminded me to update his piccie!!oooppss!

I currently feed dry to all my dogs. Benson is on Millies Wolfheart and the other two are in the process of being switched to Applaws as it hasn't seemed to suit their tummies. I was reading an article today about home cooked which seemed interesting but I am sure it is hard work to start with........but I always seem to attract commotion in my house so hey ho lol. What do you feed yours?

My pooch is on Fishmongers Finest, just a fish based kibble, it really suits him and works wonders for his skin and coat.

I can imagine it takes quite a bit of research to get a home cooked diet right, as does a raw diet. I guess it's all about variety and balance. Its probably really easy when you get your head round what you can and cant feed your pooch and how much of things go into what etc.

A homecooked diet is probably the hardest to do and do well and correctly.

You do need to supplement for the lose of nutrients in the cooking process, and not something i'd do, to much work for me!

Have you thought about a raw diet much easier and less work to do!

I have but even that takes time to get your head around!! and with 3 dogs and 3 kids and a full-time job, maybe I should stick to my quality dry kibble!

A raw diet once you've done your initial research is literally throw in the bowl give to dog Big Grin just like kibble

I do no prep work, i don't think about it, it's as quick as those who dish a bowl of kibble out!

He is on Millie's Wolfheart which you probably haven't heard of but is on the same lines as Eden. Found it on

whichdogfood.co.uk/dog-food-directory.php

He is doing fab on it. My other two older dogs have been on it a while but have never really settled on it so am in the process of changing them to Applaws
