holiday over
had a wonderfull week of with the dogs and have had some great times together.
My mission for the week was to see what it took to tire out a staffsky. now that they are both of an age that i can walk and excersise them to the limits i wanted to see what i was up against. In the Autumn Im bike joring with them both as it will be cooler and laska will be old enough so thought this would be a good benchmark for future training.
Its been a mission and climbing hills and walking through thick brush i was about to give in on wednesday as i was in pain, but spured on by the dogs. its been rainy and wet with what feels like 50kg of mud on my boots and then to unbearable heat which for a dog who's half heritage is in siberia its been hard. but on friday after the days walk and 45 mins of playing with a rugby ball marley finaly laid down...tierd. below is a the first ever photo of the boy laying down outside on a walk. to think two years ago this week would have literaly killed me... thanks to them I'm fitter and healthier than ever and i love em for that.
so what we did, 64.93 miles in 28.6 hours
and one for the record, i really did tire him out
they are gonna love it when i go to work tommorow lol

Well, maybe a few hours, anyway!
Im afraid your probably right lol. its been an eye opener for me, im wondering if i am underexcersing them on a normal week if this is anything to go by so im setting alarm 1 hour earlier and doing some extra at night from now on until i can get them in front of a bike to tire them out

It's facsinating to see the figures of your weeks walking and adventures. I'm sure they will both have a great sleep now.

Re: holiday over
haha it's a good feeling when you can tire them out! It rarely happens for me too, only in summer the heat can make her more tired. In winter I always give up way before her lol
