A holiday with the dog?
I can't drive so camping is out of the question. Can anyone recommend a nice dog hotel somewhere scenic thats reachable by train?
Also i'd be by myself so if the location was dog friendly it would help out a great deal, such as being allowed in shops & cafes with the dog.

I don't know about being reachable by train, but there are plenty of older (but still clean & neat) caravans that can be let out to people with dogs, and a lot of holiday cottages are good, too.

Can't drive, so like you I rely on public transport. I can't see how your can go on hol that way, when I take Moo away in the car (my mums) its full of her stuff and I just have a bag. I couldn't carry her bowls and food as well as my stuff and keep control of a dog
Thats the only time I am gutted that I can't drive. On a brighter note, off to Norfolk again in the summer, got a cottage, but mums still driving and staying with her sister.

i can vouch for skeggy, loads of sites you can have dogs in the caravans, costs a little more but everything is within walking distance and it's very cheap to eat out. not sure about dog friendly cafe's or pubs though

hi there not sure where your based, but Hoseasons - Seadown Park in Charmouth Dorset is right on the beach and excepts dogs in a selection of their caravans.
