what is up with some people ?

I take Duke for a long walk down a coastal path, last week on the busy rd i was walking down towards the coastal path a woman was about 50 yards away with a springer spaniel , she spotted us and to my shock ran across the wide busy Rd as a double decker bus was approaching at 50mph , how it missed her i will never know the bus driver rightly blazed his horn at her and all because i was walking my Staffy people dog friendly Bull .

Now to this weekend im on the coastal path with Duke when in the distance a guy with a Samoyed is coming our way as he gets closer he see's Duke and picks the Samoyed up, he carry's his dog twenty yards till he is past us , how Sad and do you know what i did ? i laughed at him sorry but i couldn't help myself and i have had enough of this prejudice against our breed, it's very unfair on the dog and owner , rant over

Narrow minded people   it's hard not to react sometimes & it's laughable how they behave.

I hate it, lucky we don't get it often but its there loss and its stupid and uneducated! And the women nearly killed herself!

You should see what it's like walking a Bull Terrier! 

I feel sorry for them, I now believe those who cross the road with their dogs to avoid us, obviously have problem dogs...they need help, and must be worried about their dogs behaviour, it is very sad. I don't have a problem passing them, my dog is fine and I carry on regardless as does Rolo. At times I laugh, as they cross to avoid us and aim for my friend who accompanies us with her collie... except she really is dog aggressive, see the look of surprise then!  

There is no way I could pick my dog up he is quite a lump  

  I find it funny when people do that. I tell them he will kill you with licks before he bites you. they never believe it though. ridiculous lol

Same round here I dropped my daughter at school today and there a lady with a love blue only 6 months old she was stood bythe gate with the dog and her buggy at the time the dog had his head on the toddlers lap having fuss when a woman walked out the gates with her child the child said look mommy a doggy can I stroke it the owner replied of cause you can the mother said keep away they are nasty vile viscous dogs all the time he had his head on the little one having fuss

My dad gets the same with his husky people keep away shame really as she a pup too and loves to play

I had a woman walk round a car onto a busy road, car coming straight for her, just to aviod us yesterday, it really is pathetic. I have to laugh otherwise id cry with anger. I had another ask why my dog is on a lead...i answered with "im in a public place and im a responsible owner, why arnt yours on leads?" he had nothing to say and walked on. there really are some eejits around here

I think laughing at them is the best way, but it does frustrate you at times:D 

I know it's hard and some of the idiots will never learn but we should take any opportunity to educate - whenever it looks possible I always suggest that they introduce their dogs to ours - even one in ten who agree will make a difference to their perception.  

Some people are just so ridiculous and narrow minded! Try to not let them get to you because they are just uneducated or set in their ways!

Something I've often done is...

Idiot, looking pathetically terrified..."Does he bite?"

Me..."Only when he's hungry - Come on, Dempsey, let's go home for your breakfast/dinner!"

The worst one is a guy that lives at the top of my street. Every time he sees Dempsey he makes a comment...
"I'd better put my hands in my pockets so he can't bite them"
"They're devil dogs - nasty vicious f***ers"
(whilst me dog is whining pathetically after his 'girlfriend', a little old shihtzu) "That nice little dog's gonna get bit by that nasty big dog".
I've had so many rows with him!

Every time I see him now, I just point at him and say "Don't say a word - just don't!"
