Re: staffy pup help
When did you notice the blood, is it dark or bright red? Does he have the runs at all? Is he lively & eating/drinking ok?
You say he was wormed last week, but exactly when?

Re: staffy pup help
If it's very dark red I would be a little concerned as he's such a young pup. It might just be 'one of those things' as pups often get little upsets, but maybe a phone call to your vet would set your mind at rest.

Re: staffy pup help
Ok, get him off the Bakers - the sooner the better! It's the worst food on the market & is full of additives, E numbers etc that are known to not only cause hyperactivity, but allergies & even cancer!
Look for a food that has meat as its first ingredient & no grains/wheat etc.
Wainwrights from Pets at Home is a good, mid priced food, or something fish based like Fish4dogs or Fishmongers (also from Pets at Home).
You can also add a couple of desert spoonfuls of plain, pro biotic yoghurt to his food, or seperately if he'll eat it. Not the low fat or no added sugar ones.
If he constantly has the runs then it's no surprise that he has blood in his poo, because it ends up literally scouring his intestines & the further up the digestive tract the damage is, the darker the blood.
You could also invest in some Kaogel. It's like a Kaolin & Morphine for animals & is really good at soothing a runny tum!
I wouldn't bother with flea treatment at the moment unless he actually has fleas (I take it he doesn't?) as the less chemicals you put into him at the moment, the quicker he's likely to get over this.

He may be scratching because of the food.
Keep an eye on him. If he seems unwell, stops eating or drinking then take him to the vets.

Are you able to give the vet a quick call and have a word with one of them, explain what has happened.
