Another RSPCA rant Empty Another RSPCA rant

Post by Guest Mon Jun 24 2013, 10:53

Im following two people on FB who have had their horses taken by the RSPCA and the SSPCA. One was illegally taken without a warrant (the poor owner didn't know they were not allowed to do that) and has been moved to an unknown area and the owner has heard that he is not doing very well and has injuries and is stressed out. There was nothing wrong with the horse, the SSPCA said that it was lame and there is video evidence of the horse being taken and it is no more lame than a racehorse in the grand national!

The other one had 5 horses taken, supposedly they were all in bad shape. She had just rescued some of them two weeks prior so the RSPCA took rescue horses away who had been improving! Again they have been moved to an unknown location and no contact has been made to the owner, she just keeps getting fobbed off and told to wait. I think shes been waiting for 6 months now not knowing where her horses are or if they are alive even.

I just can't stand these people anymore.

I think it aggravates me so much because they clearly live in lala land when it comes to horses. Many horses are lame cause of ligament problems which don't cause any pain, they just give an odd gait. If they had seen the state of my pony when i got it they would have took her off me and prosecuted me even though i rescued her! They don't have an innocent until proven guilty policy.

The first case, they followed her to her yard and said that horse is lame we're taking it with us. She didn't know they had to have a warrant or an investigation first so she let them. The poor girl has a video of her crying her eyes out hugging her horse and the SSPCA are standing laughing at her

well if they came onto the property without a warrant and a police officer in uniform its theft. they could be reported for breaking and entering and theft of an animal unless they thought it was in "immediate" danger. somehow I dont think being lame comes into that catagory. Id not bother contacting the RSPCA and get straight onto the police and demand a crime referance number. then send that to them and see how fast they back track.

further more they are guilty of deception by not explaining that they have no right under law to take the animals withought legal proceedings. i think the theft act 1968 covers this nicley. if it was me i would go at it tooth an nail

What on earth is going on here. I have an arthritic knee and I limp, so I'm "lame". If I were a horse, I'd be stolen from my owner/family where I'm happy and loved and cared for, because I'm lame?

I'm so glad I'm not a horse and the RSPCA can't come and get me angry

thing is the people on the front line are genuine animal lovers who do make a difference, its the rest in there fancy uniforms that mean nothing with there self important views that cause all the grief. give them a tiny bit of power and it goes straight to there heads... its the reason they arnt in the police or armed services as they cant be trusted. why else would they still need the the coopertaion of the police to do anything. they arnt the law, they dont even uphold it. big shame because of all the good people that work in the orgnisation.
