Staffys and pitbulls
What do you people think of pitbulls?
When brought up right, how different are they really to staffys?
I think they can be very the same, fun loving loyal animal who loves humans.
Would you own one if it was legal to do so,or anyone lives where pitbulls are legal and how come you have picked staffy over pitbull.
For me im a staffy lover and prefer them to any dog but pitbulls hold a great interest to me as they to are always a fantastic (family) dare i say it dog.

Re: Staffys and pitbulls
as a bull breed they are as loving as the next but would i own one? yeah you bet. it would be a shame if they were just taken off the banned bread list withoght some thought though. im very anti DDA but also very anti dangerouse human that give them the bad name they have to sort that out first and make sure they dont get into the hands of idiots or well just keep on this cycle of blaming the dogs

Re: Staffys and pitbulls
I love pittys and would love for them to be legal, but i don't know how they would ever go about it. Same as the dogo argentino i absolutely LOVE them and would have one in a heartbeat but i very much doubt they will ever be legal here again

Re: Staffys and pitbulls
They're beautiful dogs. Not the same as staffords - size & temperament are different, although they are both good as gold if brought up properly!
I wouldn't have one myself, purely because I prefer the english bully breeds - the stafford & the EBT. I wouldn't want them to become legal because the idiots who are giving the stafford a bad name would jump at the chance to do the same with a pitbull!

Re: Staffys and pitbulls
I am a dog lover so would consider any breed for being a pet, so long as they are legally available of course.

Re: Staffys and pitbulls
I've never met a pitbull (well, once a puppy but I think the lad was indulging in wishful thinking). From photos, I admire their body shape and size, but am not so keen on their heads. For me personally, no I wouldn't have one even if legal, I got enough antagonism from the anti-Dobermann brigade when I had Dobies, and now get it from the anti-Staffy brigade with my harmless although exuberant Kuchar - sorry!

Re: Staffys and pitbulls
They're different to staffies in as much as they're not the same breed - that will come with temperament differences. Can't give any other answer, unless it's a textbook one, as I've never owned a pit bull.
I wouldn't get one, but that's not a reflection of my opinion of them. I just want any dogs I have in future to be rescues, preferably the ugliest I can find/one that's been there longest.

i liken it to boston terriers and french bulldogs. They are basically very very similar in looks but are different
