Teeth Bared / Growled
Hi all,
Troy stays at my mothers when I work and next door there is a GSD that jumps the fence and has ended up having a few scraps with Troy. Now I don't know why, but Troy will always go up to the fence / neighbours door where the dogs always come out of. There is three of them but only one jumps over.
Now my brother who lives with my Mother states that when he approaches Troy to remove him from the door / fence has snarled and bared his teeth while running away.
This point he is in such a state of excitement he will run after my brothers dog and take his frustration out on him but nothing overly aggressive.
Now I'd just like to make clear that Troy never exhibits this kind of behaviour in any other scenarios, be it food, toys, whatever.
So my questions really are:
Is this a concern?
Is it his heightened state of excitement causig him to exhibit this behaviour?
How can I correct it?
Thanks.

Re: Teeth Bared / Growled
He's obviously getting very over-stimulated by this 'threat'. Is there any way you can avoid Troy going up to the other dog's door?
What's his "leave" command like?

Yeah I thought so. I'm going to try and fence it off so he can't approach the door which should sort it. He runs to the door immediately when he let out but if I tell him to 'move' he will do so. Or if I stand in that area he won't try to go past me.
, in regards to the teeth showing, is this not a direct threat? What is the communication behind this? Sick of a certain someone saying my dog has 'problems'.
Thanks.

I'm, afraid I can't really offer any advise but this may be of interest/help (not sure if you've seen it already)
