We are dog sitting this beautiful beastie, he is a rescue but figured if anyone could make an educated guess on what might be in him you lot could.
He is such a beautiful boy, far too big for my liking lol but very sweet :DI happily stick to my little staffy boy

He is very handsome, there is something about him I have seen somewhere before and I cannot quite put my finger on it right now. I will have another look later to see if it comes to mind.

Re: Any ideas on breeds in this doggy?
just going on this photo i would say English bull terrier X staffordshire bull terrier
ears and length of head and the chunkyness of his legs,,,,,and most ebts that are crossed are done with staffords
but saying that he could have abit of lab in him with that body,,,,,,,nice dog all the same!!!

the dog is from down under where you are allow amstaff it could even be full amstaff
Re: Any ideas on breeds in this doggy?
With crosses, there's no way of telling for sure just by looking. I still think it's a Bull Terrier (definitely) x Staff (maybe), but identifying traits get so mixed up in cross breeds, it's almost impossible to say with exact certaintly what has gone into the breed. There may even be more than two breeds in the history, so.

Re: Any ideas on breeds in this doggy?
here what american staffordshire terrier look like, i dont think there any bull terrier in that dog
Re: Any ideas on breeds in this doggy?
Definitely Bull Terrier, IMO. The long head, absent the dome, is the most common trait in Bull Terrier crosses. The ears almost always come through as large, triangular and erect. They also often have triangular eyes, though not as small as a bully. The dog in the pic has all of those traits.

Re: Any ideas on breeds in this doggy?

Re: Any ideas on breeds in this doggy?
hides behind sofa...first thing i thought was bull terrior because of the head and eyes but as mentioned its so hard to tell with a cross. in my experiance my two hyena, african dog, aus cattle dog crosses have only been guessed correctly by two people... sometimes a cross and even a pure breed shows distinct characteristicts from a breeding way back down the line

Re: Any ideas on breeds in this doggy?
bull terrier x amstaff is my guess too, unlikely to be a apbt cross since there is not a lot around here and they are banned in some states.
