Treats good for sensitive belly

Hi everyone

As you know Caley has been extremely poorly and I am pleased to say is now fully recovered and back to bubbly bouncing self.... Thank Goodness.

However, the vet has advised that she will always have a senstive belly and we need to be careful on what food she has. We feed her Hills Science plan but we were wondering what would be good ideas as little treats that will not upset her belly. At the moment we just give her extra science plans biccies as a treat, but I think she will tire of them soon. Any ideas?

Are you feeding the Hills Science Plan Kibble, if so could you use this a treat rather than introduce something else which could exacerbate the problem ?

Yes, she has the lamb or tuna flavour which she is fine with. I just worry that she will get bored with it.

I don't really give Rupert that many treats any more as he is so ball fixated that is his favourite reward. I make own treats by boiling liver and cutting it in v small strips and then roasting it until it is hard and portable. He goes nuts for it though I don't know whether or not a liver treat would be too rich for Caley. The treats are so small that I don't think they would upset a doggy tummy? I like making my own because I know the ingredients are fresh, it's fun, I save money and he loves them.

If you have time perhaps you can make some of your own treats/dog biscuits. Personally, I love doing it. So satisfying.

Dried chicken livers are great for sensitive bellies

Also i would go for natural treats with little to no grain as possible.

The sardine oatcakes i do make myself but they are very grain heavy so may not be appropriate

Aww Im so glad caley is back to 100% I only give darcy natural treats, she can be sensitive to maize/wheat.
