Are staffies just very sensitive? Empty Are staffies just very sensitive?

The more I see of reactive staffies in the kennels, and staffies in general, the more I wonder if many of their problems is that they are actually very sensitive dogs and so react more quickly to things that worry them (other dogs!) than a lot of other breeds.

What do you think?

I think partially, as Bug is so sensitive it's unreal and also very reactive, but also that they're very impulsive - both positively and negatively. Bug will go immediately full speed 100mph into things that she loves without thinking, and she does the same for things that she doesn't love so much or fears (I won't say hate because I don't think it's that).

I think that's true too, Rach. Act first think later is definitely not unknown to staffie owners.

I think staffies are sensitive due to the fact they love kids and crave human contact mia included its fear when they act due to either what they have been told by humans or on their own instinct. An act first and think later defo sometimes applies to mia shes alao very intelligent and was very easy to retrain.

Axl is a sensitive little soul he doesn't like anything new or anything moved around in the house. I bought him a new bed and he wouldn't lie on it for ages, he kept laying where his old bed used to be Rolling Eyes it took me a few days to get him to lay on it and now he won't get off!

I think they are but probably because they are intelligent. I know what upset Flo and what causes her to worry.
