Cassie, Whippet X Staffie, DOB Apr 08 – Godstone, Surrey
Homing Requirements: Cassie has been with us for 4 years. She is highly skilled and adorable but needs a responsible family who can guarantee her security outside on walks and within her garden. Cassie has prey drive and will break loose if she sees a cat or a running small furry. Cassie needs a waist band lead on walks, to be harnessed in a car and a very secure garden ideally 8' panel fencing or walls. Plus Secondary exit management within the house or garden gates. No cats or small furries. Cassie can be left and is non-destructive. She is good with people, older children and is happiest in a dog pack.

Her Story: Cassie was found stray in Dec 08 and was homed for 4 months but the couple returned her as Cassie got distressed in kennels when they went on holiday. Cassie has been fostered with multi dog packs for periods. Cassie is spayed, vax'd and chipped. Currently back in kennels in Godstone, Surrey.
Advert: Cassie meets people with love and reverence, dogs the same. Cassie is our rescue's Mascot and is often out there raising funds for us and is so loved by so many. STAR of our rescue but for her sake we would much rather she be enjoying her life in her forever family. Cassie needs a responsible family where there is no chance of her getting out of the front door or her jumping out from a car. Children adore her, see their smiles. Her fame travels as she has some magic about her - as a therapy dog she would put people at their ease and give them a sense of positivity and enthusiasm. She is a "happy to see you, lets have fun" dog. She loves dogs of all sizes and lives happily in a pack.
Cassie is a Whippet x Staffie, well proportioned and in good health. She is lavender brindle in colour with one long white sock ... just like she came out in a hurry and forgot the other one! Cassie has a gentle personality and your extended family will delight in meeting her. Cassie is intelligent and enjoys training, she'll soon be offering you her paw and doing your washing up! Cassie would love an active life but also enjoys mooching around her home on the sofa. At least 6 ft panel fencing and she ceases to be concerned. Cassie is ready to devote herself to a kind owner who will truly admire her many, many gifts. Cassie out-shines all other contestants!
Please note this dog is currently in boarding kennels and is also available for foster until a permanent home is found.
Please visit Cassie’s thread on our forum: http://rescueremedies.myfastforum.org/about953.html to find out more about her progress.

Just couldn't walk past an old friends kennel without whisking her out for some new pics to bump up her ads. She gave me a lovely welcome and smiled for the camera ...
Her kerchief says 'LOVE', how appropriate - everyone loves Cassie in our rescue ...
Cassie is currently in boarding kennels near Godstone while she waits for someone to offer her a home.

An update from Lynne on Cassie ...
"Yesterday 11 mad volunteers, myself included, stayed at the kennels and tried to raise money whilst in our sleep! Each choose a dog to share their kennel with, offering them a mattress bed love and close contact as all tried to sleep with a back drop of low planes coming into Gatwick (yes they don't stop planes at a certain time in Gatwick); 2 dogs having a game of woof pin pong between kennel blocks and another playing rattle tin with their metal bowl.
Cassie started by curling up by my feet, within 15 mins she had laid her head on my legs. After a parade around her kennel to identify external commotions in the dark night she settled curled up in my lap space. She was covered over with a duvet and we were as snug as Cassie could ever be in a bed 'under the stars save some Perspex corrugated roof. And there we tried to sleep with Cassie given loving face washes whenever she resurfaced.
Oliver woke us all up in 'no uncertain' terms and it was time to surface as after all some of the devoted kennel staff had to make us breakfast then feed the 5000s! Here is Cassie focused on her very early morning walk on rabbit alert ...

Re: Cassie, Whippet X Staffie, DOB Apr 08 – Godstone, Surrey
Cassie had such a lovely day out with Louise at our Charity walk last weekend.
"She enjoyed travelling in the front of the car, standing or sitting up on Lousie's lap to watch everything going past as we drove along. She was excited when we got to the start of the walk but calmed down and was a good girl throughout. On the way home she was tired and lay down in the footwell for a rest.
Cassie is still available for adoption – if you are interested in offering a home please complete our homing questionnaire on this link: https://rescueremedies.wufoo.com/forms/r7x3s5/
If you are able to offer this kennel dog a foster place whether short or long term, please complete our foster questionnaire on this link: https://rescueremedies.wufoo.com/forms/rescue-remedies-fostering-questionnaire/
