Dixon, Staffie, DOB 09.11 – Godstone, Surrey
Homing Requirements: Dixon needs stability, appreciation, good quality food, a regular exercise regime with recall training and then he will be off lead. Dixon needs companionship but could cope with being left for short sessions but supported around walks. Secure garden and kept indoors when out. Children over 5 shouldn’t be an issue as long as his excitement is kept under control. Good with dogs and dog friendly cats.
His Story: Dixon was found stray or abandoned in London and was unclaimed. He is now neutered and vax'd.
Advert: Dixon is a family dog looking for a family home. Dixon is an easy to manage dog even though kennels do not suit him; he is eager to leave his kennel as soon as you arrive! Dixon seems clean in his kennel, welcomes everyone and is easy to walk. Attentive and excellent to train.
Dixon has a small slender Lurcher frame with inquisitive eyes which focus on the task at hand. Only about 17" to the shoulder, he is easy to manage and has no edge to him other than when excited to go for a walk. We have found that if we give him something to hold in his mouth he is happy and drops it once his walk has commenced. Dixon hasn't got strong chase drive and in fact is comfortable around cats as well as other dogs. Could be a first time dog owner’s companion.
Please note that this dog is currently in boarding kennels and is also available for foster until a 'forever' home is found.
Please visit Dixon’s thread on our forum: http://rescueremedies.myfastforum.org/sutra104335.php#104335 to find out if he is still available and for fuller details.
If you are interested in re-homing please complete our homing questionnaire: https://rescueremedies.wufoo.com/forms/r7x3s5/ so we can ensure our dogs are matched and will suit your circumstances/lifestyle.
