Cooked bones can splinter and choke your dog or damage their intestine

Re: Raw bone vs cooked
never ever give a dog cooked bones even the ones from pet shops
Cooked bones become dry and brittle and splinter in to sharp dangerous shards, whereas a raw bone is flexy and doesn't splinter

cooking makes them brittle and leads to sharp splinters with razor like edges. if you want to see the diff take two and cook one and smack em both with a hammer. run your fingers along the edges (carefully) you will be supprised by the diff. especially with coocked chicken bones, thats like feeding your dog needles.
a personal gripe of mine when people leave chicken bones around the park instead of putting them in the bin.
here is also a good vid on feeding bones https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wUIiSEA4fj4

Re: Raw bone vs cooked
Beef bones are the best. I used to give my dogs raw pigs legs and pork bones
but the pork bones have given the the runs sometimes.

Re: Raw bone vs cooked
NEVER give cooked bones!!! When you cook them they become brittle and pieces can break off and cause a dog to choke or if swallowed cause major problems and sometimes even deadly consequences! Only give them raw bones and always supervise them while doing so!
