What do you guys think?

Ok so today my mom n' step dad were talking and they both said we can have another staffy pup so Vinnie isn't on his own and has company etc. We were thinking maybe a good idea to get a bitch? obv we'll get her neutered and vinnie is castrated but what is best, is it better to have a male n' female or a male n' male?
Obviously we are gonna do all the checks before we get it, i.e make sure vin gets on with the pup etc etc but vin is fine with other dogs anyway so *fingers crossed* shouldnt be a problem .
just wondering what everybody else thinks on female or male

Female. Usually one of each get on better than two of the same. Will you rescue? Or buy a pup?

Defo one of each. Paris and Tyson have a love hate relationship but adore eachother if that makes sense. lol

We have a desexed male Jethro and we adopted a rescue staffy.. he was a boy too ( desexed ) Him and Jethro got on very very well. ( we had to find the rescue staffy another home for a different reason though ) Jethro has been attacked by a couple of dogs over the years.. they have all been females!!! Depends on the make up of the dog I guess.

As Caryll said, always best to have one of each.

thanks for all the help guys .. we deffo decided on a bitch .. we will look into both options i went up to the dogs home today but it now shuts on a sunday never used too! lol so will nip back up there in the week etc and we have heard vinnies breeder's mate's dog has had her pups so we'll look into that aswell .. be sure tolet you all know more when i do

Any luck with finding a pup/rescue?

There is no rescue pups in the kennel i went to today but they have our number encase they get any in .. but we have been in contact with someone who's pups are ready next week, and we may be putting a deposit down on a female tonight
