I Have a Perfect Guard Dog (NOT!)
My brother came home from school and Loki saw him walking up the path, so jumped up at the window and wagged his tail to have a good look, then walked away again pacing the floor. My brother knocked on the door, and as my mum was walking to open the door, my brother got impatient and poked his head round and looked through the window just as Loki was about to jump up at the window again. He got the fright of his life; tail tucked between his legs, ran to me terrified, then ran back to the window with his hackles up, barking and growling. Still blatantly terrified though. Then when my brother came into the living room, Loki dived all over him, jumping, licking, biting, as if he was so relieved to see him alive and unharmed from an intruder that looked exactly like my brother . What a fool. I suppose he just got scared of the sudden face at the window that he didn't see it was my brother. Ah, lunatics.

Re: I Have a Perfect Guard Dog (NOT!)
At least the barking / growling at the window may be a deterrent to potential intruders so really he is a very clever boy!

Bless Loki, Daisy is a terrible guard dog too, she never barks, just looks at the door and then licks to death on entry!!

Whenever something makes him feel nervous, he runs to me and sits in front of me and scooches back so he's between my legs. I'd like to think this is to protect me as well as to look to me for protection, but I think it's because he's a scaredy cat ah, bless him, I wouldn't change him for the world
