What is Alfie? Staffy, staffy x, kangaroo?
Sorry pc is decrepit and I can't get the picture upload to work so have put a video of him on YouTube, hope that's ok.
Just after opinions about Alfie's breed and age, he is a rescue boy so will never really know but some idea would be nice.
He may be a 7 month old staffy but he may be older or be a cross, he seems too lanky to be a full staff I think?.
It's ok whatever he is its just I would like to know more about him. Also I have read staffy books so if he is a cross I should probably look up those breeds as well.
He is very jumpy if that makes a difference, we took him to my parents at the weekend and he jumped on the dinner table and licked the pickled onions
Luckily parents are used to dogs and didn't mind but may not take him anywhere more polite for a while!!
Any ideas? We thought maybe boxer or shar pei cross? And maybe 8/9 months?
Thanks

He certainly looks mainly staff. What exactly is in there other than that is hard to say - he may even be full staff!
He does look young, around 8 or 9 months old, so his eventual shape won't be apparent for another year, really. He looks to be at the lanky stage, which most of them go through, but I doubt he'll get much taller. He should start to fill out over the next 18 months.
Lovely boy, though!

I'm usually good at picking out a cross, but he looks full staff to me (with a possible cross a few generations back)

He might be a cross, but looks like a Staff to me. At his age they can be pretty lanky, so when he's older he may look even more like a Staff to you, when he fills out.

Tiger is a full staff and I swear her legs are already longer than that but I have to agree, he doesn't look crossed with anything, at least not any noticeable amount

Thanks for the replies, consensus is that he is a staff then!
I think its cos he is so stripey that i think he looks different, but have looked up other stripey staffs (tiger brindle?) and he does look like them.
Thanks again

There is definitely a lot of Staffy about him but still quite young to try to work out, gorgeous anyway, why worry
