slightly confused dog!
Always meant to post about this but never did,in case it's only me with a weirdo dog our garden is a nice size garden but only one side has grass, every time i get the mower out to cut the grass sash gets really excited and soon as i start the mowing she will follow me around getting in my way so she can eat the grass that the mower has'nt picked up ,it takes me twice as long as i keep having to turn the mower off and tell her No eating the grass, sort of becomes a game with her and hav'nt the heart to shut her in doors!any of your dogs do this or is sash just a confused dog that thinks she's crossed with a cow

Re: slightly confused dog!
Shéara loves grass....he will whine to get outside just so he can casually graze in the sun Although Ive not figured out whether he just likes the taste or if he's trying to settle his tummy (we changed his food recently)
During walkies he will stop and randomly take chunks out of the grass and carry on...
So no, Sasha isnt the only one

Re: slightly confused dog!
Loki eats the grass anyway we have a yard and a garden, separated by a shed. Loki doesn't go in the garden without his long line because there's a wall he'd no doubt jump off, so haven't had any issues with the mower. That does sound rather tiring, but funny to watch at the same time they do help with the cleaning up...sometimes.

Molly grazes at the spring grass, as does our spaniel!
I think it must taste good

Re: slightly confused dog!
Darcy likes grass too, I spend what feels like 1/2 the days telling her not to eat it, but she hates the mower so I don't have that problem at least

Re: slightly confused dog!
Mine will nibble certain types of grass but are not really interested in lawn grass, more the wild types you find in hedgerows.

Re: slightly confused dog!
Kuchar loves to eat at grass too, only the long wild fresh growing stuff though, as do a lot of other dogs I know. I've always wondered whether it's the ripping, tearing experience they enjoy or if they are trying to get some nutrient that is missing from their diet.
Does anyone who feeds raw experience this?

Vinnie eats all grass whether it be wild or lawn I stop him as much as I can but I do wonder why.

Bet your neighbors have a good laugh every time you mow Chiquito munches the grass occasionally but isn't a fan of the mower .... he does love to roll in grass clippings if he can get to them though
