Bought a new staff puppy :)
Hello guys, I bought a new staff puppy.
What do you think of him?
His mum and dad are both long legged.
I bought him for £275 and hes not KC Kennel Registered.
What do you think of him? Hes 9 weeks old today, he has his first set of needles a week today.
Does it mean because his mum and dad are long legged staffs, does it mean my puppy will be?
Heres a picture of his mum and dad.
Here is the link from where I bought my staff puppy from
Thank you.

Re: Bought a new staff puppy :)
mum and dad will normally be a good representation of how your pup will turmn out in general form

Re: Bought a new staff puppy :)
Both mum & dad look like normal staffords to me - not particularly long legged! Shame they weren't properly health tested, but never mind!
He's a cute little fella - what have you called him?

Calling him Archie, hes been registered with the Vets and has his first needles a week today can't wait!
I will get him all health checked, flead etc when I visit the vets next week.
& Thank you Caryll

Unless you have a problem then I wouldn't bother with flea treatment (unneccesary chemicals ) did the breeder worm him properly and give you some kind of puppy pack

He's adorable, look at his sweet little face please do keep us updated (with pics!) on his progress, and ask any questions if you have any. Mum and dad are lovely too.

Re: Bought a new staff puppy :)
As far as I know hes only had worm syrup so not been proper wormed yet.
He didn't get a puppy pack no.
But I did see his mum and dad and they looked perfectly friendly nice, and looked like a staffordshire bull terrier.

If he's had "worm syrup" then that would be correct , just depends on the quality of wormer used. Vet will hopefully get you on course next week. Really depends on how much the breeder has put into the pups , though I hate to say it but people on these sites and charging these kind of prices are generally doing whatever they can as cheap as possible. It's to be hoped thet they do neuter mum and that will be another back yard breeder out of action

That's what you use for a young puppy - the syrup is easier to get down them!
He'll still have to be wormed monthly until he's 6 months old, though, and then every 3 months afterwards.
Archie suits him.

Yeah I had a 9 year old staffshire bull terrier full pedigree but got put down :'(
He was constantly sick, and it smelt like his poop etc, vets told us he should be put down because hes not coping loosing a lot of weight etc.

I would say he's somewhere in the middle and quite close to breed standard , he's just over 1 now and 17kg , and thankyou for the nice comment

Re: Bought a new staff puppy :)
What a lovely little fella He's stunning, I love his markings too Generally the pups come out like their parents, so I'm guessing he'll be leggy like his parents? I can't see his parents since the links been removed though. Sorry to hear about your loss too, he was a handsome chap

Re: Bought a new staff puppy :)

You could be very surprised, with enough good treats he could have it done in a few hours

Once they start to grasp the concept, he'll learn it very quickly. They're very clever dogs, especially when there's food to motivate them

Re: Bought a new staff puppy :)
Like most people said he will end up probably like his parents.
If you can get the pictures of the dad and mom and upload it somewhere so the rest of the people can see would be lovely because Dave removed the website so we can't see the pictures anymore
Sorry to hear about your loss, he was beautiful though and hopefully Archie will help you recover from it

Yeah there's short and long legged staffs
There is only one type of Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
The long legged thing is just slang that has caught on over time because of the internet sales etc.
They are all diff shapes and sizes but they are all the same
