Quite proud of my boy! Empty Quite proud of my boy!

Post by DragonTheStaffie Thu May 02 2013, 17:07

Today we went on a early walk and we was walking around the park and a lady with a BIG BIG dog was coming in our direction, I was ready to turn back as there was not much space for me to walk Dragon next to her dog, the lady then said "Don't worry he's friendly" we then said how Dragon can get quite funny with other dogs and has bite some dogs and she just said don't be nervous and don't hold him back, just relax and don't be pulling him back, so I did and as soon as I stopped pulling him back he sat down and didn't care about the other dog, she then stopped and we had a chat while her down was layed down and Dragon was just sat down not pulling or anything!

I know I get very nervous when walking him and he can sense it but its hard not to be when I've seen him attacking an Alsatian and made it bleed so much (not my fault it was the other owners fault though), but yea he's improving a lot and getting more confident around dogs.

The after on the way back we met a person who had an older staffy and the dude must have been on drugs as he didn't look to be on planet earth lol, but anyway we walked past and said what a lovely boy you have, his dog was crying to play and wagging his tail and Dragon didn't seem to care much was just looking at it, then his dog growled and tried to jump on Dragon and Dragon tried to go for him as well after his dog growled, luckily he didn't let his dog go... But nothing happen to I'm glad just kept on walking.

We got loads of people coming up to us saying how beautiful he was as well which is always a good thing Smile

Nice to meet an owner that doesn't react in fear, one that gives you a bit of advice. Glad it worked, he seems to be making loads of progress, which is never a bad thing Smile
