Small marble size lump
Hey peeps,
Basically I have a small marble sized lump on Brunos right side just below his rib cage, it's quite squashy,
I noticed it last night, on our evening walk we were in some fields near us with quite long grass with walkways and he was running through the grass and rolling around,
When u touch the lump Bruno doesn't appear to be in any pain or even that it's there,
He doesn't seem to be scratching it or anything,
I was thinking it may be a bite of some sort, I have booked him in the vets next wed to have it checked out but wondered if anyone knows what this lump could be
Thanks

Re: Small marble size lump
This could well be an insect bite or a sting. Do you have a photo of the lump we could look at ? Right to ask the vet next time you are in.
Rocky had an insect bite/ sting ages ago and he still has a bit of a bump there, this doesn't bother him either. It seem to rise when it is warm weather though and when he has been sitting in the sun ?? We will ask at the vets next time we are in too.

Re: Small marble size lump
It is tick season, so it could be a bite. Your best bet is to ask the vet, so good for you for booking an appointment.

What color is it ? It it 'under the skin' or 'on the skin' ?

Re: Small marble size lump
Cheers for the replys,
Yea it's under the skin n it seems the same colour as his skin,
Unfortunately I can't afford to take him to the vets till next week,
I will upload a photo when I get home
I'm hoping it is just a bite n it's gone in a day or two but I will keep an eye on it

They do worry us, don't they?
Lynda's Kuchar had that happen - but with him it was called 'castration'!

Glad to hear that the other dogs' lumps went away without such drastic measures!
