Hi from Glasgow!
Hello everybody.
My name is Brooke & I'm 14 years old and stay in the East End of Glasgow (scotland) & have recently got a Staffy pup, named Denzl. I beleive he is 'tiger tan' brindle, and to be quite honest with you- he's the best thing thats ever happened to me. He is 20 weeks old at the moment and just so affectionate, loving & loyal its unbeleivable. Toilet training was a walk in the park, having only 2 accidents- both my fault as he got too exited lol. At 13 weeks he was completely house trained, we stay in a small flat so he did not get access to a garden before he had his inoculations. We have been going to a dog training club quite a bit away from me, every thursday and its really worth it as it has been paying off. I truly couldn't imagine life without him. Training wise he is getting along fine, but as I know staffies do have the tendency to be a bit iffy with other dogs, which I'm rapidly becoming aware of with Denzl. He is really super friendly then a dog just does something that he does not like and BAM! he's this vicious little ball really wanting to get at the dog. To be honest its very vocal and I think thats what makes it look worse, he also gets VERY jealous when I pay any attention what so ever to another dog. I knew that dog aggression can be an issue with the breed and I was prepared for it, but it is really strange that he is fine with a dog then just changes, I actually think its more of him wanting to be dominant because my aunties dog (an english bull) named Peggy, gave him a row a few weeks ago and he went running off with his tail between his legs & didn't try it again lol! I'm wondering if anyone knows of any methods/tips on how to deal with this behaviour? Thanks!
Apart from Denzls random tantrums, he is truly amazing. I could not have asked for a better dog, he is just so affectionate it's unbeleivable! When he's older I really want to try out Agility & I'd be very interested in any other sports you guys participate in with your Staffies.
Here is a few pics on my Facebook page;
feel free to add, as my photobucket isn't working for some reason !
Oh and by the way;
PLEASE HELP! I'm participating in a competition (we're the only staffy!) and I would be so greatful if you could vote!
Simply just click the link, LIKE the group & then LIKE Denzls photo, he's the brindle staffy in the middle of the page.
The dog with the most votes is dog of the week!
MANY MANY MANY thanks if you do!
Sorry for such a long post, just thought I'd try and sum up everything in the one post lol.
Thanks & hope I learn tips & advice from you, as well as helping others along the way haha.

Re: Hi from Glasgow!
Hello I'm new here too
I've owned staffords for 16 years now, + I'm afraid you have to be prepared for your dog not being the kind of dog you can just let loose to roam with other dogs.
Most of the time all will be ok, but you have to be very vigilant with bull breeds, which you are already as you have recognised the potential problem.
With a good loving home + a firm hand, your baby will be fine, he's obviously in very cacpable hands
