Talking to your dog...!
So does everyone talk to their dog or am I going loop de loop?!
I was lazing on the sofa with Moll recently telling her how pretty she was and explaining that some people might not think that and in fact would probably have some horrible stereotype, which was clearly not true. I went on to tell her that if anyone from this website could meet her they would truly appreciate her and love to say hi!
She didn't reply but I know she understood
PS Moll had another skin scrape recently and it was clear of mites!

I talk to Logan all the time quite casually. Especially on walks, I think it can help can down a situation sometimes too if either me or him is anxious about a situation for example.
Def a good thing to do IMO

I talk to Loki often about anything and similarly to Mat, I talk to Loki to kind of calm him down a bit in situations where he can go mad.

Re: Talking to your dog...!
Moll only seems to make noises when she gets incredibly frustrated! For example when I make her sit before she is allowed to greet us when we go into the house or when we play fetch. Its one of the only times I've heard her bark, its like she can't contain herself lol and even then it will only be a single bark!
Of course when the two of them are outdoors playing the noise starts! Her beautiful staffy play grolws hehe!

I talk to everything. To lexi i usually tell her how she is the ugliest thing in the world and thats why i love her and i also tell her she is fat and roll her about the floor and she laughs. Yes, she really laughs, don't tell me otherwise!
To my budgies i usually tell the boy one that the girls are bitches and i dont know how he puts up with them and he tweets in agreement

My girl is the same, she only whines if she is a) on a chain (shes been on one for about 3 mins and i couldn't take it the soft git that i am) b) standing waiting for her mate willow to come out and walk or c) in the car waiting for willow. Only met willow about 3 times, but knows where she lives! She never used to whine in the car before no matter where i stopped lol

Glad you got an all clear
I chit chat to Chiquito all the time! The neighbours laugh at me when I take him out to toilet and talk about the good places to pee and when we walk I am pretty sure people think I am a little loopy ... I think this may have something to do with me providing a running commentary of the sights and sounds to keep his attention

Re: Talking to your dog...!
I talk to mines all the tell, silly things, I tell them who’s on the phone, or at the door or where I'm going when I leave!! It’s a habit now; I love a good sing and dance around the kitchen with them when I’m cooking as well!!
The only time they will speak back is if you say ... "Where's the flies?" .... they go daft, Frank grabs a towel and Tara does an odd deep low growl as if she's answering me!! lol

I talk to Doug ALL the time
I tell him he's handsome and my OH laughs when I say "Love you Douglas" he says it sounds like I'm taking to a child. I tell him where we're going for a walk, who we might be going with and what we are going to do at the weekend. I talk to him like a would a person in my house

Re: Talking to your dog...!
Yeah I am as bad and talk to Sookie.
As had been mentioned sometimes on a walk and other times just round the house.
Like all dogs she knows certain words but the one I like most is if you ask her 'Are you alright?' and she looks at you and wags her tail!
Also if I tell her things she doesn't want to do she barks at me!
