Read the links Steve gave for how to deal with the biting, it might take a while but with patience and consistent training, they'll learn Smile

As for commands, why do you only want a few? Off the top of my head, sit, stay, come, lie down, leave it, drop it, heel.

2 puppies I dont want to s

I can give you 2 command phrases

"Oh FFS will you put that down"

"You little B********d leave your brother alone"

But 2 more short ones are difficult

Seriously though >Big Grin<

Watch me and Come , have to be the other 2 if that is really how much you want to limit yourself

I'm not sure you should only have 4 commands, I don't think that will cover every thing?

They will be able to learn more over time, for me Stay, Come, Leave and Wait are probably the most important but then it's good to be able to do sit and down, heel for lead walking, watch me or whatever you choose to get their attention and they have to understand what no means too.

No, I don't think four is enough. I read that dogs can understand 1000 (or thousands, I don't remember) words, so four is easy. But don't think it'll cover much at all.

Why only four?

The first things I teach are...

Leave
Sit
Down
Stay
Come
Heel
Wait

Then others follow!

Unfortunately consistency is the way forward short terms used will aid you in your training but you will need plenty of patience Sad training 2 pups of the same age in any aspect is hard work... Can I just ask are these pups litter brothers?

There are others that have far more training experience than I, however I can tell you that Chiquito is 14 weeks (with me almost four weeks) and knows sit, lay down, wait, gentle and drop (as in a ball), he is getting better at beside, come and roll over and is now learning leave ... they seem to learn really quickly and I find that using a variety of commands in his training sessions keeps him more interested Big Grin

As for the biting, I only have one and working on the biting feels like a full time job so I don't envy you with two to work with!! As said above, consistency seems to be the trick though, so keep doing what you are doing Smile
