2 puppies!
Dear All,
First of all I am new on this forum, my name is Meyrav and I'm from france (so I apologize in advance for my english)
So I would like your advice about the following situation:
I have two puppies, one is 7months old (male) and the other is 4 months old (female). They love each other, they always sleep together, and they play all day long. The only thing is, when they play, they bite each other (not too hard). But the younger one she is quite agressive in her game, she barks a lot and bares her teeth. Should I worry about that? Is it normal?
Now they are young so I'm ok with it, but I'm affraid for the future, that they might actually start to fight...
Thank you for your answers!! I will soon post pictures of them!

Re: 2 puppies!
Welcome looking forward to pics. As for your question, I think they're probably just playing, and Staffs can play rough, so I think it's normal. The older one will tell her off if she's getting too rough, but if you feel like it's getting too out of control, you can just separate them for a little while so they can calm down for a bit before playing again. I think just make sure you're watching them while they play and they'll be fine.

Hi and welcome to the forum from Rocky and me.
I wouldn't worry too much, Staffies are known for playing quite loudly and roughly.

Re: 2 puppies!
sounds like normal play to me too but be prepared at some point it is most likely they have one or two real scraps as they sort out who's boss. My 2 still haven't made up their minds yet

Re: 2 puppies!
Hi and welcome from Me n Steffi They do play quite rough and some more so than others.. They can also be very vocal with barks and growling.. Like others have said I doubt it is anything to worry about but always supervise

Re: 2 puppies!
I also asked this question not so long ago. My two are 10 months and 2 months and we also weren't used to the rough play. The little one clamps down on the older one's jaws and holds on/hangs there. The bigger one drags the little one around by the legs (kinda gently). They bark and growl and play bow and rough and tumble and when the little one has had enough he goes and digs a hole and climbs in head first doing a hand stand
We're getting used to it though and think they really do enjoy playing together. The bigger one can be a bit of a bully as she's only a puppy herself so when it gets too much we separate them...and at this stage we ALWAYS supervise play time.
This is all thanks to advice on here!
