unsure what he was feed.

I am unsure what ronnie (thats my new dogs name lol) was fed before we resued him.. and all we have been told it to feed him little but often as he is very under weight..
Should i just give him dry food or a mixture os wet and dry (this is what we feed banrey our westie).. we feed barney Dr Johns and pedigree wet as he is not keen on just dry.
whould this be ok for ronnie too ?

Don't worry too much about what he was fed before. He'll be a lot happy being in his new home anyway

I feed James Wellbeloved to my Logan and he does great on it. It is hypoallergenic, grain free and is always on good deals at Pets at Home

I personally wouldn't use Dr Johns as it has cereals as its first ingredient.

As Ronnie is in need of tlc I'd have a look at James Wellbeloved or Wainwrights to start him off. Dry on its own is fine, but as you say, some dogs prefer something added to it - sardines in oil are good for that or even a raw egg on the top!

Is he very underweight?

well you can see his ribs, but he seemed really happy in himself,
untill he is here (which will be tomorrow) its very hard to tell, but the people that have him at mo say he is looking better already in just a week,
He also has a few sores on his leg, but they dont look anything major and have been told they are getting better,
but I will get hubby to go and get a bag of james welbeloved

Do you know if he has a micro chip, this will need to be up dated with your details when you get him.

What about an insurance quote ?

He has no chip... but its booked for Wednesday when he has his vets visit..
and hubby is on the insurance case, as we have always had these things done and feel that everyone should do it..
