Bucks new collar
Wasnt sure if this was the right place to put this so bear with me...
I ordered this collar for buck a few days back and it just arrived today:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271168643555?var=570145292756&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
I also ordered this tag too:

I've never been keen on dangly dog tags. they get caught on stuff and can get pulled off so the tag I bought was perfect for me.
I got it engraved with his name, my full address/postcode, phone number and "microchipped"
and its all easily readable and the engraving is really good.
just to give you an idea of what you can fit on there.
I'm pretty happy with the quality of both of them and the collar has plenty of adjustment for when the little guy gets big :p
anyway...
I managed to combine the 2 and I'm really happy with the results
I just happened to have a length of chain which was made of the exact same links as the collar so I bent them out of shape and slid them into the links of the collar and closed them around the tag (conveniently the tag was perfectly sized/spaced to line up with the holes in the links in an even way)
and this was the result:
the new links look really rough here but it was still in the experimental stage at this point, I've since closed the links up up tighter and filed off the marks/burrs left by he pliers.
(tag looks a little wonky there but its just the way I'd laid the collar. the links allow some movement but not enough for the tag to snag on anything)
handsome chappy
and finally the "dad what are you doing?" look.
so yeah... thought it might be a handy little mod for you lot
and they're both pretty good value for money and don't seem as though theyre gonna fall apart any time soon.
just to note: buck only wears a collar when hes on a walk and his lead is always attatched to his ezydog harness, never his collar so I'm not too concerned about him getting a bald or irritated neck from wearing a chain collar.

he really is.
hes gonna be a lanky one I reckon but i havent seen an upward growth spurt for a while. he just keeps getting meatier haha.
due to the extra weight im now waking up almost every morning with dead legs as theyre apparently the most comfortable spot in the entire house in bucks mind. the tubby little git :p

Re: Bucks new collar
Cheers people can you actually see my address on the tag? I was hoping it was blurry/angled enough to not be readable. If so I'll do a tactical edit :p
