how much do you spoil your "baby"
just got back from the friendly neighbourhood pet shop- where they sneak woody treats behind my back when they think im not watchin - after going to buy him a new harness as the collar we had wasnt up to the job of holding woody back from cuddles from strangers.
now i had narrowed it down to 2 choices, which one did i pick...................well the more expensive one because it had little padded fluffy sections that go under his forelegs so as not to rub/chafe his poor skin!!!

That sounds exactly like Molly, including the 3 collars, 2 harnesses, although she has more leads, she's got two boomer balls too, she has a duvet and blanket on her bed. God we spoil her too much.

I try not to spoil Hollie but I just can't help it...everytime I go for some retail therapy she gets something new, in the last week she's had a "Super Bounce Pillow" for her bed, a new fleecy blanket, 2 bags of Wainwrights Puppy Biscuits, a new frizbee and a bottle of kids bubbles...(she loves to chase bubbles round the garden) lol , but she's so worth it

Dempsey isn't spoilt at all, not in the least. He isn't allowed on the furniture or the beds. He's well behaved & knows that we all come first and he's a poor 2nd.
Yeah, right......................................

Re: how much do you spoil your "baby"
We can't go in a store without checking out the pet section, just in case. The other day we spent 45 minutes trying to pick out a collar....45 minutes!
No human babies here, just my furkids so yeah I spoil the heck out of them. Geez Emmy has her own wardrobe.... with hangers

Us hoomans are a soft old lot.
Lola has a box full of toys, slippers, handbags haha, mostly my daughters, she's such a diva.
She has half my double bed, the sofa's and yep a cupboard full of stuff.
But we wouldn't have it any olther way.
She even stands at the the bathroom sink while I brush my teeth and likes me to hand feed her water, spoilt rotten.

Re: how much do you spoil your "baby"
Well... I just told a new member on the forum that I live in Western Australia, and we are going through a terrible heat wave. It is hot day and night. Jethro sleeps in our room with his own fan on the floor!! It goes all night and if I turn it off he wakes up and is all restless as he gets so hot !! His ears are flapping in the breeze he is that close to it. Now some of my pals reckon that is ridiculous and that he is a spoilt brat!! haha................ Might need a whip around though when the next electricity bill comes in... $$$$..........

Well i did try and not let Bruno on the sofa etc but ............i was doing well untill he found away up himself, so now there's not stopping him and i think that is where he sleeps.
He got a nice big crate with newspaper on the bottom covered with a lovely thick blanket and all his toys that keep jumping into my hands when we're out shopping or the kids says awww look mum its only this price he sits next to me in the evening and uses the edge of the laptop to put his head

Re: how much do you spoil your "baby"
My dogs are ridiculously spoilt! If me and the OH go out to the market or to town we end up coming back with loads for the dogs and very little for ourselves! They have about 8/9 collars each with no wear on them (my man just loves to buy new ones!), 2 or 3 coats each, matching leads for all of the collars, about 3 beds (though they prefer the sofa or my bed), not many toys since they get destroyed but loads of nylabones, smoked bones etc. They have their own two-shelf cupboard in the kitchen full of treats, supplements, medication ad beautifying lotions/shampoos.
An example is when we went to the market the other day the dogs got;
* a bone each (3 x £1)
* a collar each (3 x £18)
* a new bed (£15)
* various treats (£5)
Me and my OH got a knock-off tracksuit each (to walk the bloody dogs in!)

Re: how much do you spoil your "baby"
How can you not spoil them when they give those sad eye looks..... I always had Alsatians in the past and Piggy was my first Staffy...before my dogs would live in the kitchen and that was it, the rest of the house was out of bounds...somehow Piggy had her space on the sofa, front seat of the car and a good portion of roast chicken when I cooked one...spoil them but not too much or you can end up with problems...I have seen that happen when the owner gives the dog anything they want..... the dogs end up way overweight or being a bit snappy when they can get what they want....most of all enjoy your dog.....

Re: how much do you spoil your "baby"
I can't believe I am admitting this but last night we bought a new sofa for the spare room so we could use the older one out side for the dogs to lounge on in the shade away from the summer heat and off of the dirt.
I really wanted a nice patio set but then the dogs wouldn't be as comfortable....hahahaha

Re: how much do you spoil your "baby"
I was thinking last night when I came home from band rehearsals....piggy had a big cage in the corner with a cover over it and a nice big fluffy duvet inside which she would "scratch" up to her hearts content...it was never locked....when I would get home late on Thursday night and grab myself a bowl of cereals, Piggy would quietly get out of her bed and lay down with her back to me all very nonchalantly.....she knew there would be something in the offing...she wouldn't watch me, her head was on the floor between her feet, waiting patiently for the bowl to go to the floor with half of the milk.....she'd lap it up then jump up beside me all happy....how can we not spoil them?
Getting a sofa or installing some airconditioning what ever it is we do for our beasts,it's just our way of telling them we love them and care for them.....
