can you help me choose the best food for my do harvey please

pero staffordshire bull terrier
Fresh British Chicken (min 26%), Maize (min 26%), Poultry Meat Meal, Oats, Beet Pulp, Refined Chicken Fat, Whole Linseed, Brewers Yeast, Egg Powder, Minerals, Fish Oil, Glucosamine Sulphate, Chondroitin Sulphate, Vitamins, L-carnitine.
NUTRITIONAL ANALYSIS
Protein 22%, Oil 10%, Fibre 3%, Ash 5%, Vitamin A 16,000 IU/kg, Vitamin D3 1,050 IU/kg, Vitamin E (Alpha Tocopherol) 150mg/kg, Copper (As Cupric Sulphate) 20mg/kg

Premium Chicken & Rice Hypoallergenic Complete Dog Food
Chicken Meat Meal (minimum 22%), Rice (minimum 22%), Maize, Barley, Beet Pulp, Chicken Fat, Vitamins & Minerals, Fish Meal, Dried Yeast, Salt, Yucca Meal, Antioxidant BHA.
Analysis
Protein 21.5%, Oil 9%, Fibre 2%, Ash 7%, Vitamin A 10,000iu/kg, Vitamin D3 1,500iu/kg, Vitamin E 80mg/kg, Copper 16mg/kg.

There should be people along to help that know more than me!! the first one as the first ingredient is fresh chicken as oppossed to chicken meal but then that is topped but with maize which is abit Controversial, I thnk rice is supposed to be better so I'm not sure .the dry food I use does have maize but then I feed wet as well which has rice.

Out of those two I'd choose the Pero as the "Premium Chicken & Rice Hypoallergenic Complete Dog Food" first ingredient is chicken "meal" as opposed to chicken.

It also has a slightely higher protein count which is important. L-carnitine is great for burning off extra fat. It also has glucosamine which is great for joint movements etc.

Logan doesn't do well with chicken based foods, I feed James Wellbeloved which he does great on Smile

I don't really like either one much - both have too much maize for my liking. Sad

thank you for the help
i did have harvey on jolleys lifestage hes done really well on it but finances have been cut drastically (70 a week) so i have to look at cheaper altenatives

Have a look and James Wellbeloved and Wainwrights, both good value and both great foods. I feed J Wellbeloved to Logan and he does great Smile
