Gutted :(
The lad across the road is a bit of a charv (hoodie) and we always hear him arguing with his girlfriend. He is on benefits. He couldn't care about anyone but his self and well basically will never get a job because he has the 'cant be arsed' attitude.
He has just got a 9 month old staffy, girl, white & blue and she is gorgeous but I just know what kind of life she is going to have if she stays with him. He will keep her locked up and never really bother with her unless he goes out so she makes him look good. I overheard him talking about breeding her. My heart just sank because it is these type of people that just give them a bad name. He was given her for a 20 bag!! £20 worth of you no what. Disgusting.
I just feel like breaking into his house and taking her to live with me. I just want her to have a decent life. He can barely feed himself never mind a dog.
I know being in a home is better than being at the dog shelter but he takes drugs and everything
What are your opinions on this?
So many staffies are being stereotyped with this hoodie chavs. I call them charvas haha.

Re: Gutted :(
Yea it's frustrating, I meet guys like that from time to time. One guy told me he got his dog for a bottle of wine, and not the fancy stuff.
I've also had a guy tell me Logan "would make a great fighting dog".
I do a lot of walking so people see me with Logan a lot, I had a guy I didn't know approach me in a bar a while back to tell me his dog could "kick my dog's ***".
A lot of losers around sadly.

It happens everywhere unfortunately.
I hope he doesn't breed her, because god knows where the pups will end up.

Poor dog, you wouldn't wish that on your worst enemy.. just keep your eye's open and your mouth closed... for now, and if you think she is being badly treated or left alone etc then take action.

Thats horrible Perhaps a sly phone call to the Police about his drug dealing, and then when he is arrested you could just adopt her

Aww I would love to have her if I had a bigger place, I already have 2 ! but if I hear/see any animal cruelty I will be straight on to the police and RSPCA!

Do you think you could find a no kill rescue that is happy to take her on and then go and buy her off him?

Re: Gutted :(
It is sad, there is a few of these people in our area. I have chavs coming up to me all the time on walks to admire Dutchess with a spliff on and tell me that they had one but it got nasty so they had to give it away. I'm no chav but when I tell other people I have a staffy they say "oh that's a chavs dog".
The only thing you can do is watch and listen and if the dog shows signs of abuse or neglect phone the RSPCA immediately.
Lots of love xx

Is it even possible? Like seriously how can they value such an amazing dog so lowly? . I was with my friends male doh outside of the takeaway and a guy from Serbia was telling us how his brother back over in Serbia literally trains his dogs from birth for dog fighting and they weight 150 pounds and he just kept looking at Oscar. I literally went outside and kept near him because I didn't like how fishy he seemed. Also, chavs with their dogs seem to "eye up" other dogs and judge whether their dog could "take it". Why a dog is being judged on it's body and fighting ability is beyond me. In my opinion though, I feel sorry for this dog. That she was so freely given to him, and then he is already talking about breeding her is petrifying. She's only nine months old, he shouldn't be breeding her anywhere near that young. It would be a traumatic experience, and he'd probably sell the puppies to pay for his drugs. People don't give him benefits to abuse a dog :'(

I would just keep an eye on her until you think something is wrong and then get in touch with the relevant organisation. I wouldn't be surprised if she was stolen.

Maybe he's a terrorist aswell or maybe breeding for an international dog fighting syndicate....seriousely people this is ridiculous, he MIGHT actually be a total scumbag, but does anyone ACTUALLY know? he MIGHT take drugs but does that mean he's going to mistreat a dog? he MIGHT be on benefits, does this mean he's gonna mistreat the dog? he argues with his girlfriend, does this mean he's gonna mistreat a dog? im not trying to be argumentative but this is the exact type oF stereotyping without knowing any FACTS that is forced on our breed

Re: Gutted :(
I don't want to seem like I am being stereotypical. But by talking about breeding her at nine months of age, it does seem like he doesn't have the dogs best interests at heart Boro

Re: Gutted :(
You overheard him talking about breeding her (which by the way i woulden't personally agree with), maybe not breeding her straight away at nine months. i must say again im not been argumentative, but we have so many genuine scumbags with staffs round my town that i labelled them all the same aswell, but i've actually talked to a couple that i thought were scumbags and they pleasantly surprised me with how clued up they were and how much they really loved their dogs. i guess all im saying is things aren't always as they seem, i wear hoodies and walk a staff but i dont want to mug anyone

Re: Gutted :(
Again I don't want to seem stereotypical. But he's arguing with his girlfriend all the time, on benefits, has drugs around the house et cetera. It isn't anywhere near an ideal place to bring a dog up.
To be honest, I hope my stereotyped view is wrong. Because she is nine months old and by the sound of it...gorgeous. Being brought up in the type of house the poster speaks about...isn't going to help her even a little. I genuinely do hope he cares for her

Don't know how (if) you managed to keep your cool when he said that, that's disgusting.
It's very frustrating to see all of the irresponsible people getting dogs, but all you can do is call someone about it if you think she's being mistreated or neglected.

Well, the person posting this topic has said it. Arguing with his girlfriend does't mean anything, being on benefits doesn't mean anything, but if she's seen enough of him, overheard enough from him, to know he's too lazy to get a job, and is willing to get a dog through trading drugs, he's not the ideal dog owner, is he? Particularly not if he plans on breeding her and doing it all again. It's not about stereotyping; I don't have a job and I wear hoodies, but no-one's ever stereotyped me because Loki's well looked after. It's not about how he talks or the clothes he wears, it's all the things mentioned.

Re: Gutted :(
Actually BoroGTI... I have seen this lad abuse his girlfriend. Scream down the street. Smoking drugs outside his house. Police are always at his door. So yes I am stereotyping. I have seen so many people like this with staffies that think they are the best.
And yes I believe he has literally got this dog to look good and to protect his house!
She was running loose yesterday and she went over to my boyfriend and she just wanted his attention. I've said to myself that if I see her loose again I may call the RSPCA or I may just take her in as we are moving soon.

I always wear hoodies too when I am not at work but honestly this lad is bad news. If I see the dog hurt or anything like that I will take some sort of action..
I'm not arguing by the way people. It just upsets me because I know he couldnt care about this dog

Re: Gutted :(
This is a tricky one, the RSPCA will only get involved if they know a dog is being abused and neglected but it may be worth a phone call anyway to them, they can then decide to do a home check and see everything for themselves. You could inform the local jobcentre about his habit and dealings but I dont know how far this would get you tbh.
