Finally Going For It

First topic message reminder :

After a lot of deliberation I've decided, today is the day...

Getting my hair cut short all over.

I've went from long all over, shaved one side, all sides. Now it's all going in the next hour.

I'm not shy in person but I think it's so silly for lads to pose in pictures and it makes me really embarrassed. I could never imagine my Dad on Granda posing for a photo then posting it online. I'm too much of an old man

Agreed! It's weird when guys put up pictures with big poses and loads of filters. Especially with one or more of the following:

Big 'serious' expression to look scareh
Weird 'playa' smirk
Holding up the bling bling
Cutting off the face just so that they can fit in their six pack

You don't need to pose for pictures, no-one's telling you to act like a model I do find the posing embarrassing though, I just give a half-hearted attempt at a smile and that's that.

I go to a club in town every now and again and the lads are all running around doing that gshore hand thing and saying the catchphrases

Geordie Shore... Since when did it become okay for men to get manicures, fake tans, legs and chest waxed, eyebrows plucked and pencilled, nipples pierced, etc.?

But yea I totally agree. Between footballers and those sort of shows the standard of men these days has went very down hill. I think we'll eventually merge into one gender.

Yeah, same actually. Tbh, I don't really mind that men care a lot more about their appearance now. It's the attitude that often goes with it that I hate - the constant "I'm a big tough lad, I'll beat you up man! After I get my little men waxed."

Not completely smooth! I prefer at least some hair there! Though when it comes down to it, if I care about him I won't give a rat's what he looks like.

I blame Beckham and this new 'Metrosexuality' phase he's brought to us.

I had my long hair cut short a couple of months ago, have never regretted it once. I used to have it tied back all the time which gave me a constant headache, much better now though, I love it short I should have done it ages ago.

Yea it's super handy. I'll benefit the most from it with my early morning starts!

My brother used to have long hair for ages, and then he got it shaved off and he said he woke up the next day wondering why his head felt so weird habit I suppose.

My wee head is going to be baltic tomorrow!

Haha big change from what it was. I said to shave it all off but the wee girl didn't want too, she's the only person I ever go to. And it's pretty hard to argue with girls!

i keep considering doing this since ive had long hair since i was about 8.
always hated it short but now, having long hair is a pain in the privates at times

i can never muster the courage though as i dont like my ears and im scared incase i have a funny shaped head haha

that said... i will take my bathroom mirror shots and leave :p

Two days in and it's a God send Richie. Nothing like waking up in the morning without a face full of hair haha.

Haha I might be massively lame and google short haircuts and see if there's anything that would suit me then take the plunge and book it in.

I just started shaving bits off until it was an undercut and now I had the courage to take the plunge
