Update
so we'r on day 4 now with Leroy and everything is going really well. Think he's still to come out his shell a bit but defo seems like a good fit. Bugs me that i don't know anything about his history, cause he does seem really well trained but on the other hand sometimes he can look as if he is just waitin for you to smack him!
We went and bought another baby gate for between the hall and the kitchen and put his crate in the kitchen so when we'r out he goes in his crate with baby get shut so Diesel can't bug him or wind him up cause she gets left in the hall. First night he cried for a bit but settled down and we came down to a clean crate which was good. He's also realised really quickly that if we do go out we will be back so didnt even cry last night when i left!
There's loads of dogs in our street an its quite friendly so he's been introduced to a few with no problems, he's had kids on bikes cycle past him and he's fine but we have noticed that he doesn't like loud lorries going by so have to watch for that. He's picked up on his name really quickly too, and done well on a long lead at coming back when shouted.
So yeh he seems like a real diamond! makes you wonder why someone abandoned him?! But is why am also always on guard for any problems to arise

Re: Update
Really exciting!
Keep a diary. I wish I had. I don't know how you ended up adopting him but will look at past threads.

I wish i could take all the credit but its all down to him! - or whoever used to have him. We'r just lucky that we get on with our neighbours so they had no problems with lettin us introduce him cause that was the most worryin part that he was DA or take a disliking to one of them.
Cant actually believe its only been 4 days! Looking forward to doin more work with him.

Re: Update
Fantastic news , sounds like it's going well and don't assume he was dumped because he has a problem , remember all them girls that get pregnant and decide babies and stffies don't mix, all them people that take too much notice of the crap on TV , broken marriages .............................................................................................................................................................................................................................

Re: Update
Very pleased to read he is settling in so well so quickly, those first few weeks just seem to fly by in a bit of a haze.
Good idea to keep a diary or even a video diary if you can of how he is doing.
