Todays dog walk plans scuppered :(

Just got in the bath and the tap was dripping so tried to turn it off a bit harder and now its just running so looks like the OH is off for a walk whilst I fix the tap , and damned leek has no DIY store any more thats open Sundays so will have to drive 10 miles to B & Q.

Mind you after my escapade with the Central Heating the other night wonder whether I should even touch it

Have you tried banging a nail or screwing a screw into the end of the tap to stop it >

You will probably find if you put another nail in the floorboard the amount of water getting to the tap will decrease....Problem solved

Thanks for the tip Mike , have tried to do it but now the carpets are back down I can't remember where the pipes are ( I assume this is where you wanted me to put the nail , just like you told me to last time ??)

Have you ever thought of maybe having your own DIY channel on you tube ??

Yep , only a couple of slight problems , the OH HAS to get a load through the washing machine or we all die (see my OP ) , I have no washers and have to drive to Stoke to get em

Will be taking the children out later just after the fire brigade have finished the clean up
