Some of you probably know I go to watch MK Lightning Ice Hockey team every saturday - well, they just lost the semi finals of the playoffs, and I'm gutted for them - lost to a last minute goal. Crying or Very sad

Always hurts when you get so close and go out.
Get plenty of booze down your neck to make you feel better. I've sent a crate to north korea. I'm just hoping he isn't one of them aggressive drunks

No, they're in the Premier League - Nottingham Panthers are Elite League.

The playoffs are held in Coventry every year cause it's a bigger stadium than most of the teams in the Premier League. We were going to go, but we couldn't get tickets - glad, now; I hate seeing them lose. Sad

No, there's no promotion/relegation. It really depends on how much money the clubs have & whether they can afford the imports that are needed to be in the Elite League. It's the imports that are the backbone of the teams.

The Premier League can only have 4 imports (we have two Czechs, a Fin and a Slovenian) but there's no limit in the Elite League.

if a team drops out of the elite league can a primer team join it? or a team just forms and join it?

Well, yes, but as I said, it depends on how much money the club has - there's no point joining the elite league if you can't afford the imported players - you'd lose every game!

Having said that, three of our english players have been selected for Team GB, so they're not that bad. But the club just doesn't have a lot of money. Sad
