The worst thing is, basically everyone who owns a tiger is irresponsible for the simple fact that they think they can properly care for, and keep, a tiger as a pet. Whereas not all pitbull owners are irresponsible but somehow they, and the breed, are the ones getting punished for it

Your subject line made me think of that woman with five dogs (RIP four of them) who is not going to face any charges now after her dogs killed that teenager. I think that is also outrageous. I live in terror of my dog hurting anyone and I would expect to face punishment if he did.

I think most people on this site bend over backwards to be responsible and kind dog owners. And I definitely think irresponsible Staffy owners have a big impact on how all Staffy owners and their dogs are viewed by everyone else. I think this woman has done so much damage not just to this poor girl's family and to her own dogs who are mostly now dead but to the reputation of Staffs.

On the other hand you could say 'It could happen to anyone', but I really hope this is not the case. I think most people unfamiliar with the breed think it is and that one Staff/Staff-x is much like the next.

You just have to laugh at how ridiculous that is!

i mean pits and staff are domesticated... you can train a tiger to not be a bloody tiger!

your also allowed to own a wolf dog hybrid which is possibly more unpredictable and dangerouse than both put together... thats what happens when laws are made because of the general/moronic masses hysteria as a result of a few news stories rather than common scense because polititions need to be seen to be doing something....

couldnt agree any more with the last post, i think think in a couple of years wolf/husky dogs will take away light from staffys. i belive ALL dogs if not trained can cause trouble, just that staffys are very popular dogs due to there loving nature, so maybe more miss haps happen. due to bad ownwers. however these wolf / huskey dogs are becoming very very popular will end up with bad owners and will cause some trouble for there breed.
i came across 2 husky/wolf type dogs tonight with Izzy and they both came across very agressive with her, but if she defended herself she would be in the wrong because she is a staffy,
