It's actually an American site, so I don't know if they view the Stafford in the same way that we do?

Thank you for your comments. It would be very helpful for me to know what is wrong with the three breeds I listed and how it can be improved. This website lists the same 3 breeds that are listed in my article:

I understand that dogs are often classified based on their appearance, and not based on their actual breed, and I've updated the article to reflect that. I've also included a link to information about Lennox, who was killed based on his appearance.

Also, I understand that the meaning of the term "pit bull" is different in the UK and the US. It would help me understand what's wrong with the article if you let me know which definition you are using. I would like to include information that is applicable to both the UK and the US.

Like all of us at About.com, I want everything to be accurate. All criticism, advice, and corrections are always appreciated.

pitbull is an pitbull and staffy is an staffy

i could understand a group of breeds for pit dogs but why are not the bull terrier, boston terrier, even the ratting dogs etc . jack russell, Yorkshire Terrier, Fox Terrier, Manchester Terrier and many other also are pit dogs also why are not added to the list?

The American Pit Bull Terrier (APBT) is a breed in itself as are the Staffordshire Bull Terrier (SBT) and American Staffordshire Terrier (Am Staff). They are not types of 'Pit Bull', I think the way it was worded in the article may be a bit ambiguous
